The latest Tramex model of the Moisture Encounter, the MEX5 Is a non-destructive moisture meter with digital dual-depth. It is perfect for inspecting moisture and humidity conditions in buildings. Its pinless, non-destructive method of testing makes it easy to test the concrete for moisture without pins which would otherwise bend under pressure or chip the concrete. Additionally it has a built-in hygrometer and infrared surface thermometer, able to give psychometric evaluations of ambient RH, Temp, Dew Point temp and Humidity ratio. Additionally it can give surface temperature readings. This meter is all-inclusive and gives everything you need to make informed decisions as a water damage restoration specialist.

What is Dual Depth?
The MEX5 can readings at two different depths – a deep depth penetration of up to 30mm and shallow depth penetration of 10mm. These readings can be compared to eliminate the influence of substrate.

Moisture Reading
The Pinless mode can measure moisture content in percentage in the range of 0-30%. With the use of pin probes, wood, wood by-products and drywall can be measured for moisture and relative humidity sensor probes can measure ambient conditions.

Tramex Meter App
All these data points can be logged visually with the Tramex App, and given geo-metadata, all to generate moisture maps, reports and charts.
