Introducing the CEM DT-620 Anemometer which is able to test the CFM air flow output of your air scrubbers and dehumidifiers. A difference between expected air flow and measured air flow is helping in diagnosing filters that are at the end of their life cycle, having the filter already filled to near recommended capacity of capturing particles. The CEM DT-620 works by utilising a fan blade component that measures the velocity of the air (feet per minute, meters per minute etc). By measuring this, and multiplying the area of which the outlet pushes air out of, it gives you a approximate idea of the expected CFM of the unit. Ensure your equipment and filters are up to scratch with proper maitainence, using the CEM DT-620 as apart of your tool kit.
The CEM DT-620 is a thermo-anemometer & Infrared thermometer, capable of remote readings up to 280 degrees Celsius at a 8:1 distance to spot ratio. The 620 model is capable of measuring CFM based on wind velocity measurement. This can be done by setting the area dimensions in cm^ and is stored on the systems memory; when the meter turns off, it remembers the measurements. The DT-620 also simultaneously shows both air flow, air velocity and ambient temperature. Its large LCD display, with black light option means your readings are easily read. The anemometer has 3% velocity accuracy via low friction 72mm diameter ball bearing vane wheel on the 1.2m cable, which of course is the fan bladed head unit, used to measure the air. Other features include a low battery indication, a max/min/average readings of measurements and runs off a 9v battery.
